Top Ten Places Mentioned In Books That I’d Like to Visit

One of the best things about reading, for me, is learning about a new place. Whether it’s fictional or real, it’s so much fun to see where the characters call home, hang out, or pass through. Here are ten places mentioned in books that I’d love to visit.

Genovia from The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot

Thornfield Hall from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte

Space from On a Sunbeam by Tillie Walden

Luna from The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

The Smoke from Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

Glatt’s Laundry from Sheets by Brenna Thummler

Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady Types from Lumberjanes by Noelle Stevenson

Tuscany from Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch

Henley, Maine from This is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith

Forks, Washington from Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

What are some places you’ve read about that you would like to visit? Do we have any in common? Let me know in the comments!

If you are interested in finding out more about one of the books listed, all links will take you to the book’s Goodreads page.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted each week by Jana from That Artsy Reader Girl. Visit her blog to find out which places from books she’d like to visit and find other’s lists as well!

    1. Uglies was one of the first series that I devoured over and over, I could never get enough of it! It took a while for me to find a picture to use in representation of the Smoke though. I’m still not ever completely happy with the one I have. None of them looked or felt like what the Smoke does in the books!
