Welcome to the second week of Friday Jams! If you were around last week you may have noticed the name change. Originally I had named this feature Music Musings, because I’m all about that bass alliteration, but for some reason it just didn’t feel right, so now we have Friday Jams!
This is a recap of the five artists I listened to the most over the past week and which of their songs was my favorite. I’ll be pulling all of my data from last.fm, a website that tracks every song you listen to and compiles all the data to give you different stats on your listening trends.
This past week (February 22 through February 28) I listened to a total of 1,112 songs, 12 less than last week, which totaled about 2 days and 14 hours of music. Here are the five artists I listened to the most:

I really could not get enough dodie this week. It’s been a pretty bad mental health week, and her music is so calming, cute, and sweet, that it helped me be in a better headspace. Absolutely Smitten got put on repeat a few times.

TS7 IS COMING Y’ALL AND I AM SO READY FOR IT!! I’ve basically been reading as many theories as possible and there are some pretty good ones out there. I’m pretty convinced that the new album is going to have more Red/1989 vibes based on the pictures she’s been sharing on her Instagram. I also think that this was an album she was working on and originally planning on releasing after 1989, but then all the drama with Kanye and Kim happened so she put this project down and started reputation instead. Anyway, I listened to Red a lot this week because it’s my go to album when I’m feeling really depressed thanks to it’s ability to make me feel all the nostalgic feels.

Thanks to my husband’s love of this band they’ll probably be showing up a lot on Friday Jams. He’s trying super hard to make them climb my charts and reach 1,000 overall plays. Only 643 to go! I’m actually starting to enjoy them, and this album cover is reeeeaaalllly making me want to get a new tattoo.
Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is another one I listen to a lot when I’m feeling depressed and anxious. His music has the ability to consume me and touch my soul. Divide is definitely my favorite album of his.
What have you been listening to lately? Do you enjoy listening to music while you read or do you need quiet? Let me know and let’s chat!

I’m so boring—I think almost all the music I listened to this month was Ariana grande! I wouldn’t even consider myself a fan, but I think her songs are pretty cool. But I’ve discovered this new k-pop girl group called Itzy & I think they’re great. Overall, I’m not really a music person but these are the music I remember listening to in February!

Dodie is my favorite artist! Her song “She” is literally always on in the background. Holy Ground and Happier are some of my favorites too!
