Books at the End of the Rainbow: Green Edition

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, friends! I thought today would be the perfect time to share with you seven of my favorite books that are sporting my second favorite color, green! Who knows, maybe reading one of these will bring you some good luck!

Signs Point to Yes by Sandy Hall – This is probably my favorite Sandy Hall book so far. Jane and Teo are adorable, and by the end I was dying for a Magic 8 Ball and a little more of summer.

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins – Isla and Josh are without a doubt my absolute favorite couple from the Anna series. Their chemistry is swoon worthy and sure to give you all the feels.

Windfall by Jennifer E. Smith – You really can’t find a better book to read on St. Patrick’s Day than Windfall. This book is full of luck and it unexpectedly explores some deep themes.

Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson – I’m pretty sure this was the very first Morgan Matson book I ever read, and as soon as I finished it I was hooked. She writes some of the cutest contemporaries and I love all the summer vibes.

Lumberjanes: Unicorn Power! by Mariko Tamaki – If you haven’t dived into the Lumberjanes universe yet, then you are definitely missing out. This group of girls are hilarious, fun, and spunky. Plus, there’s queer rep! This is actually a novelization, but it really doesn’t disappoint.

The Dark Hills Divide by Patrick Carman – The Land of Elyon series was quite possibly my favorite one growing up – I can’t tell you the amount of times I reread it. Full of talking animals, mystery, and a strong female main character, it’s definitely one not to miss.

Kenny & the Dragon by Tony DiTerlizzi – This is another fun middle grade! I adored The Spiderwick Chronicles, so of course when I stumbled upon this I snatched it right up. The illustrations are absolutely wonderful and the story overall is just so heartwarming.

What is your favorite book with a green cover? Do you do anything special for St. Patrick’s Day? Leave a comment and let’s chat!

  1. My fav book in the Anna trilogy was Lola, but I still really enjoyed Isla and Josh’s story—especially cuz Josh is literally so precious omg. Also, I’d never heard of Windfall but it sounds so good! I’ll have to add it to my tbr 😊 Personally, my favourite green book is Alice Oseman’s graphic novel Heartstopper. I’m pretty much obsessed 😋

    1. Lola is my second favorite! I enjoyed Anna, but as the series went on I liked each book and main character a little more than the previous one. Windfall is amazing!! If somebody was going to pick one book off this list to add to their TBR I think that’s the one I would suggest. I haven’t read Heartstopper yet, but I’m dying to! I’m glad you loved it!

      1. I wasn’t that into Anna tbh, but I figured I’d give the series a second chance because I liked Stephanie Perkins’ writing, and I ended up really enjoying Lola and Isla! And yeah ok, I’ll definitely have to get to Windfall at some point then 🙂 Ahh Heartstopper is actually my latest obsession; Nick and Charlie are honestly the cutest and the art style is everything. I hope you end up loving it when you get to it!
