You shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that I’m about to match some books up to a few Jonas Brothers songs, but you should be surprised that it took me this long to do it. I’m incredibly excited for Happiness Begins, the new documentary on Amazon, and their upcoming memoir. To celebrate the Year of Jonas I thought it would be the perfect time to complete this tag created by Morrisa from Morr Books!
(If at any point you’re reading this and you think to yourself, “wow those words really don’t make sense” I apologize. I’ve been really stressed and anxious lately, I haven’t been sleeping much, and I just took NyQuil because I’m not feeling great. So who knows what I’m about to type!)
S.O.S. – a book or series that broke your heart

I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios – I read this right after it came out in February of 2015, and while I don’t remember everything that happened I do remember how emotional of a story it was. This is one I’m really looking forward to rereading soon so I can be broken all over again by Skylar and Josh.
That’s Just the Way We Roll – a book or series with an unusual, rag tag cast of characters that actually work really well together

The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise by Dan Gemeinhart – The characters in this book are completely ridiculous, but in a fun and exciting way you would never expect! You’d never expect them to go together in the way they do. Each of them adds such an important element to the story.
Just Friends – your favorite book or series with a best friends to lovers plot

The Boy Next Story by Tiffany Schmidt – Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes! I just read The Boy Next Story very recently and I loved it so much. It was my first Tiffany Schmidt book and I’m really looking forward to reading to reading another by her. Don’t forget to read my full review!
Burnin’ Up – a book with steamy romance

Rule by Jay Crownover – Growing up I hated even just the idea of a romance book, but now I can’t get enough. I just happened to pick Rule up from the bargain section of my local Barnes & Noble several years ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. This book is absolutely perfect and full of swoons and steamy romance.
Shelf – a book or series that’s been on your shelf for ages but you still haven’t read

Open Road Summer by Emery Lord – I’m pretty sure this book has been sitting on my shelf since it’s release way back in 2014. There really probably isn’t any excuse for why I haven’t read it other than I’m intimidated by it. I feel everybody rants and raves about Emery Lord books and it’s made me so nervous!
Sorry – a book or series you tried to love but just couldn’t

Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – Y’all, I wanted to love this one so badly. Especially since I love Illuminae. But I just couldn’t. It was so horrible. I did at least read the entire thing even though I wanted to DNF it. You can read my full rant review if you want to know more.
A Little Bit Longer – a series or book you’ve been waiting forever to come out

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn – With how much I adored You’d Be Mine, it’s no surprise that I’m anxiously awaiting Erin Hahn’s next novel, More Than Maybe. It doesn’t release until 2020 and I swear I’ve already been waiting about ten years for it. Read my full review of You’d Be Mine before you go and see why you need Hahn’s writing in your life!
Sucker – a book/author/series that you’re a sucker for

Gayle Forman – It doesn’t matter what she writes – I guarantee you I’ll read it. She has been my favorite since high school when I read If I Stay for the first time. I have a HUGE collection of her books (I think I have around 50?). She’s just so special to me.
